Mary Crass is Principal Administrator and senior policy analyst for the Paris-based International Transport Forum, an intergovernmental organisation within the OECD.
She is responsible for the organisation’s work on sustainable urban travel, accessible transport and social inclusion, as well as transport-related crime and terrorism issues. Ms. Crass is also in charge of the programme for the International Transport Forum meeting, which takes place annually in Leipzig.
Prior to joining the OECD, Ms. Crass worked as a private consultant focusing on transport and environment-related issues for organisations including the United Nations Environment Programme, the European Commission and OECD, as well as private enterprises. She was previously with a United States-based environmental consulting firm specialising in environmental technical assistance work in developing countries and transition economies.
Ms. Crass holds a Masters Degree in international economics and energy and environmental policy from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, and a B.A. from the University of Texas in Austin.
